Photography Question

Save Photo's and History

How does one save the history and layer info on an image in CS2. If I'm half way through working on a picture and want to save all the operations in those palettes so I'll be able to open that image later and continue to work on it or change past operations.
When I first got my CS2 I could save as JPEG or other, and no info was saved but when I saved as PSD
it was always there, Each time I save the image as an original Photoshop PDS or copy,
doesn't seem to matter, the history palette is not saved. Can anyone help!

  Hi Sheila,
You should save them as PSD files and do not flatten the layers until you are ready to save as .tif or .jpg file.
With a PSD file, I am not sure it will save the history info but you should still have your layers to work with. - Carlton
