So you need a slide show maker. That's simple enough, sir. Just send me US$ 100 and your images, and you'll have your slide show within one business day.

Have fun!

Don't mind W.S. he is an @$$. Anyway, showitfast.com is the best program out there that has no competition.

Microsoft Picture Story 3 is available for free [download.] It's great because of the large number f transitions available and the ease with which you can adjust the time each image is shown and the different music selections tou can apply.

It accepts music ripped via various CDs. Then, you play the show on your computer.

The major downside: you'll need to buy a $20 download of a program to burn a CD for viewing on a TV. It's the same program that's part of Roxio's Easy Media Creator - you just need to take the time to figure out how to "mate" the programs - it took me a few minute to figure things out.

Of course Easy Media Creator does the task, but it doesn't have the number of transitions.

Photodex ProShow Gold is a great slideshow program. You can determine, timing, slide transitions, panning, zooming, add music, type headers & other info on any photo, then burn it to DVD - but it is only made for PC. I use a MAC and would have to use parallels with XP to run it.
Check it out - Carlton

Problem is those slide show files get so damn big – and sluggish – if you want quality images. That's because you're actually watching a running video, not still images.

  Robert,

I'll cast my vote for "Pro Show Gold" as well.
I have tried several slide show creation programs and have settled into PSG.

You may also have a look at the same company's product "Producer." It's a little more expensive but allows image corrections on the fly.

W.S is correct, the creation of the show after you have built it is very slow; just go out and shoot some pics; come back later, it might be done. Yeesh!

Pete
