Photography Question

Travelling to Four Corners Region

I'm planning a trip that will include Chaco Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley and Mesa Verde. I'm doing a shoot for a cd cover and I need to get a model (cowboy and his horse) but don't have any contacts out there. Also, if anyone has any ideas regarding great spots to get shots at these locations, that'd be very helpful. I haven't been out there in 10 years.
Thanks-Mike

  Contact the local newspapers or high schools at Montecello Utah or Cortez Colorado and see if the can steer you to a ranch in the area for a rider.

  There's a built-in male model, one of the resident Navajo's, at Monument Valley. He poses for a $2.00 tip - for groups. He's probably available for special shots, bit only at monument Valley.

  John, That's exactly where I want to shoot the model! How do I contact him?

  Hi Mike;

If you go to www.jurgita.com, you can find many models there who will probably be interested. Some may do it for as little as a TFP or TFCD contract. Most of these models are amateur or semi-pro.

Have fun and keep shooting,
Mark H.
