would anyone be willing to give me step-by-step instuctions on how to "fix" the overexposure of these photos in Photoshop elements. (if they are fixable). I shot them in jpeg.
Feel free to e-mail me directly if that's easier.
I have PSE 6.

I'm afraid they are beyond salvage, Tara. To enhance an image there's got to be something to enhance. Image data. Pixels. The largest area of your photos have no image data at all. Nada. So there's nothing to enhance.

I gave the 'child by chair' a whirl: image –> Adjustments –> Auto levels, and –24 Saturation. It's still a badly over exposed image, though...

You can see – especially at the chair – that there is simply no image along its backedges. The white – = no data – is 'eating' into the visible image.
