Did the contest open back up to the free galleries Just curious. I was looking at the EFPs and noticed one image was uploaded on the 9th of this month and was from a free gallery. My daughter has a free gallery, but I had told her that I didn't think they were allowing free gallery owners to enter.

Free galleries are not able to enter the contest unless they have taken a BP class. Pay for a gallery or pay for a class allows you to enter the contest. http://www.betterphoto.com/contest/messageFromJim.php

That's what I thought Sarah, but don't they usually have the little emblem if they've taken classes before? I didn't see any and it was definitely a free gallery. Don't get me wrong...I am not complaining and think the photo deserved the EFP...just confused as to whether or not there was a glitch or if they had changed their minds about allowing free galleries to enter.

I've got a free gallery and I have NOT taken a class. I can not enter. :) The galleries don't always have the icon for "taken a class." I've run across those who will comment about having taken a class yet they don't have any icon. I highly doubt it was a glitch and they have NOT changed their mind. If they had I'd have a button to enter the contest and I JUST checked...NO button. :)

Steph, they can choose whether to display the classes or not. It doesn't automatically display. You have to click a box to display that. Hope that helps. ;o)
