GPS Receiver for Canon

I have been searching for a GPS receiver for Canon DSLRs. I know Geomet'r makes one for Nikons but not Canon.
Anyone know if these are available ?

The new WFT-E2/E2A: EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS-1D Mark III &
WFT-E3/E3A: EOS 40D has GPS :)

But you will need to have THAT GPS gizmo attached to your camera PERMANENTLY for it to work.
I prefer a setup whereby a separate (no connection!) GPS gizmo (in my camera bag or my pocket) simply logs its whereabouts plus timecode while en route, which are married to/inserted into the EXIF later, in PP, on your PC.
What's the benefit of having GPS coordinates added to the EXIF while still in the camera...? That extra thingamyjig on the side of the camera is a pain... I don't want that.

  Thank you BEK & W. S.,
I had been looking on the Canon site and could not find this info. The WFT-E3A does wireless transmission with GPS ability rather than just GPS. They have simplified ones for Nikon that slides into the hotshoe and connects and are about $300 as opposed to the Canons at $700. If I decide I need wireless transmission, I may go for this but it is too much $$ just to use for GPS info.
I hike a lot of places and it would be nice to have GPS info but may opt for an external pocket devise to keep track.
Thanks again,
Carlton
