Photography Question

Apryl D. Deeter

Adobe RGB vs. sRGB

I am trying to figure out whether or not I should be shooting in Adobe RGB or sRGB. I have been shooting JPEG, not RAW, but when I started using Photoshop, I started shooting in Adobe RGB, but I am not printing at home. I will likely use someone like MPIX or a local printer for my photos. MPIX recommends shooting RAW and saving a copy to sRGB(JPEG) which confuses me even more. I just want a simple answer as to how to shoot in the camera, and how to process & save in Photoshop. Anyone have that simple answer??? :)

  Apryl,
I see no one has replied to your question. It's probably because color space issues are more complex than explaining in a simple sentence.

As far as the printing dilemma you are facing right now, take a look at this article. It should answer your specific question.
