I can not enter the Free Contest Hi to all, I am having problem in entering the free contest. I used to upload a photo to my gallery and then from Better Photos --> Edit Photos I had the option Enter into contest. I do not have this option now. How do you enter the contest? Go to the Contest page and read about the new changes! From now on, members with a free gallery will no longer be able to enter the contest unless they upgrade to a Basic/Premium Gallery.

No, it's life and the way things usually go. The cost of having the ability to enter the contest has gone up too with the shut out. It used to be $22 to start up, now it's $49. It's just another part of life and again, the way things usually go. I knew it was coming when they changed the name of the Premium to Basic. How much it jumped didn't surprise me either considering how long the fee had stayed the same. It is still sad though. There may be 11,000+ free galleries out there, but according to someones figures less that 2% of them were really active. In the end BetterPhoto didn't do what it did because of the contest or the "freeloaders," it has just gone the way of the gas prices. It was inevitable considering how much it costs to live now. Whatever reasons they give for the change, in the end as with everything, it takes money to do. That's the bottom line, nothing is free. 7/4/2008 9:43:42 AM |

Today is the second time this month I have lost my contest entry. One day it came up totally white and today it does not appear in recent entries, yet it says I have entered the contest for the day. What's wrong?

Karen, it's hard to say what happened. Just delete the photo from "Your Photos" and upload it again...

Ken, this will not allow me to enter the contest again today will it? The photo was already in my gallery and I tried to enter the contest from there (as suggested by another member due to the upload problem coming up totally white that day). I'm a bit discouraged today. I think I am a bit too addicted to BP right now and maybe this is a hint for me to back off a bit.

Yes, if you delete your entry, it WILL let you re-enter... It didn't use to a long time back, but now it does...

Thanks for asking this question. I was having this problem too. Wow. That just sucks. Way to go BetterPhoto.com. I may just cancel my account altogether.
