website expires today My website is expiring today and I have a question. I have tried asking betterphoto but have not got a response yet. I have someone designing a website for me and he is going to host it through someone else. I have already purchased my domain name and everything. Is there a way to forward people from my old better photo deluxe site to my new site even for a couple weeks? Thank you, Amanda

Amanda, is it just your hosting that is expiring, or your original Domain name registration as well? If your original domain name registration is not expiring, you should just be able to go to where it is registered (is this BP?) and request that they redirect the traffic to that domain to your new domain name. For example, my website is located at www.tressiedavisphotography.com (hosted at bludomain and name registered at GoDaddy), but I also registered the domain www.tressiedavis.com at GoDaddy and when people type that in to their browser they are automatically taken to www.tressiedavisphotography.com. As to HOW to do that - I registered my domain names with GoDaddy, and their support line helped me - bludomain gave me the info to direct to, and GoDaddy showed me where to put that info on their site. (I don't understand all that tech stuff LOL) Whatever company your original domain is registered with should be able to help you. If your domain registration is expiring as well, it might be well worth it to re-register the old domain (usually about $10) strictly for the redirect and just not renew the hosting. Hope all that makes sense.
