which lense for water/surf photography I also have a portrait lense that is a nikon at 28mm. My concerns are with a wide angle I will have to pull up photoshop to get any kind of shot from 20 yards or so out but I wil be on it for the closer shots. The 28mm I cant shoot to close. Any suggestions would be great thanks. Chandler

Hi Chandler, what do you mean "surf photograpy"? Making photos while surfing? Or making photos of surfer dudes and dudettes? If so, will you be in the water, boards whizzing past you, you shooting up?

I assume you know alot about surfing. You'll really piss those guys off if you get in their way. And, you can get really hurt out there if you don't know the ocean, waves, tides, how to surf, swim, etc. I am planning on doing it a from the land with a 600mm.
