How to Categorize and Store Slides I have approx. 1000 slides I am trying to organize. I've found lots of software for sale, but the price is out of my range as a newcomer to this business. So for the time being, I am looking for shareware, if it is available. My goal is to establish a Web site where publishers can go and search for a picture that fits their criteria. Thanks for any advice you may provide.

David offers "Slidebox" for around £45 or at least it was when I bought it. This is brilliant software - even a computer Philistine like me can load it and operate it. It can take 4 million slides, categorise them, store exposure, camera, lens, film and much more detail. It can even find specific slides using any of the parameters and compile lists in custom fashion. In short it is absolutely brilliant and by no means expensive at around £45.
