Travelling with Camera Batteries

I have heard that the airlines (or the FAA) have restrictions on the number of rechargeable batteries that are allowed on board the plane. My wife & I are planning a 1st time trip to Alaska in late summer.I was planning on taking (2) cameras & extra CF storage, camera batteries, flash batteries, chargers, etc. Is this correct? If so, can you please clarify?

http://safetravel.dot.gov/whats_new_batteries.html. You cannot pack rechargeable lithiums in checked baggage, but you are not limited in the number of spares you can bring in carry-on. Just be sure to take precautions against them shorting out (generally put each in a separate zip-lock baggie). The "larger" sized lithiums that are restricted or banned are much larger than those used in DSLR and smaller cameras.
