2008 Laptop suggestions? I destroyed my trusty laptop this morning while using it with my 40D and the live view function. I was so intent on my subject (flower) I didn't notice the bear coming from behind me. Startled, I elbowed the laptop and of it went down the hillside - Funny, I did manage to grab the tripod so the camera was saved (LOL). Must have scared the bear too. ANYWAY - I do all my post processing on my home PC, so basically, I just need it for live view work and storage. My recently deceased friend was a Toshiba 2 gig processor, 1 gig ram (maxed out) and a 60 GB 7200 rpm HD. Oh, and almost 8 years old. Thanks!!

I love my Dell XPS M1710 w/4Gigs unbelievably fast and the monitor is amazing...blows the Macs away at my old office.

Thanks Oliver, I have looked at the XPS line before, but since I was happy with mine, figured I would just muddle through. I will check out the Dell web-site, all of our home pc's are Dell, might as well go ALL THE WAY.
