Adding tags to Tiff images in Elements 5 I need to add tags to my tiff pics in elements 5 but cant figure out how to ? Adding tags in the organizer works find for the jpg images but once I turn my raw into tiff, the tags wont show up in the file info! I need the tags for the way one of my clients has set up their digital files. thanks Jean

Hi Jean, You should be able to save 16 bit files as .tif Try doing a "save as" on the image and selecting .tif from the file type drop down box. I only have to change from 16 to 8 bit for .jpg files in Photoshop. I dont use Elements but I think it would be the same as PS.

Sure she can save a 16 bit file. She's trying to embed some info into the file that doesn't seem to work with her tiffs.

the problem was once they were tiffs the tags wouldnt show up in the file info. Problem solved, I just downloaded the elements 6 for a free trial and it shows the tags when the images are tiff, now I can get to work. thanks once again for the willingness to help others that just arent that bright when it comes to digital! Jean
