Alien Bee Ringflash Does anyone have experience with the Alien Bee ABR800 Ringflash ? It looks like it would be a great lighting tool but I would like to hear some opinions before making a decision to buy.

I do not have the ring flash but do have White Lightning strobes, barn doors, and soft boxes (White Lightinig is also from the Paul Buffc companies). All are extremely well madfe and function very well. The reviews I have ready in Shutterbug and heard on the Lightsource podcast were very positive. I have looked at this a couple of times but generally prefer more directional lighting. Bill

Thank you Bill, I think I am going to shy away from the Ringflash and just add a B1600 to the (2) B800 Alien Bees I already have. It looks cool on Paul Buff's website but I dont think it is very practical for what I want to do. I do like my Alien Bee's though. They are well made and perform great.

I just unpacked mine. I will post some pics as soon as I take some. I also got the 56" moon unit and a couple of the difussion covers ( shoot through ). I can't wait to try it all out. I have ab 1600 and 2 ab 800's with a ton of their accessories. Love them all. I'll bookmark this to post back. Bek
