Photography Question

The Nikon S51

Does anyone else own of these? I just got one, as a 'convenience' camera. You know for all those times, when you don't have your big DSLR rig with you, and a shot is 'right there'? At least this one can stay in my purse.....Anyhow, the battery door on this thing BUGS me no end.....I really want to find a way to charge the camera's battery without removing it from the camera, thus sparing that door, somewhat.....(I know, I'll still open it to get the SD card out...)

Does anyone know, if the USB/Video cable unit supplied with the camera, will charge the battery when connected to a computer???

Thanks!!

Wouldn't that be covered in the s51 camera manual?

Here it is!
'To protect against copyright infringement', Nikon is reluctant to make printable versions of the S51 available. So, you'll have to copy/paste this one and read it off the screen.

Have fun!

Actually its not covered, and the battery holds its charge seriously well, for a long time...might not be that big a deal after all.
