The first page of my gallery looks fine but when you click to the other pages the pics are displayed differently (I think like 10 images per page) with the editors pics badges gone:(. Is this what you mean by the "new look" Jessica?

Who knows what's going on?? I have my images displayed in a certain order. I guess now it doesn't matter. I don't like the description being visable either! I sure hope this is temporary! At least we should have a choice!

I've noticed it too. How annoying. I personally like the editors pick buttons. Gives me a good feeling to get one and I'd hate for them to go away. Hopefully it's just a glitch!!!!!!

It's sure goofy looking whatever it is. And does anybody know how to turn off the EFP's on the Deluxe Websites without also turning off the finslist and winner buttons? I can't see where you can do one without the other.

And here I thought I'd busted my gallery by going to page two! If this is a new look, I find it really ugly. Pleeease let it be a fixable glitch!! P.S. to Carolyn: On another thread, I posted the same answer as Michael, and the person answered she tried and it's all or nothing -- there's no way to have only the award buttons without the EPs.

Check out the Design section on your Deluxe Website Admin. Center to see if a dropdown was added to choose between displaying or not displaying the EFP's. I asked them to add this option and they did to my site just yesterday.

Carolyn - they just added the feature yesterday to turn on/off the EFP buttons on the deluxe web sites. This doesn't affect your contest badges benig displayed. You can update this setting by going to your deluxe admin center, clicking the Photos tab at the top, and then clicking the Gallery Options link in the right side box. You will see a drop down where you can set the Editor's Picks to be displayed or not towards the bottom of the page.

Thanks Camm and Shawn!!! I found it. That wasn't there yesterday. I don't think the EFP buttons are necessary on the Deluxe site. I don't mind on the Premium gallery, though.

At first, like so many others, I thought this was a computer glitch but the more I look at it and think about it the more convinced I am that BP is once again trying to respond to members' requests. Although many members love the EP's and enjoy having those badges visible throughout their galleries, there are some who have said they would prefer they were not there or have suggested that they should only be visible for the current month. Those opinions seem to be informing the changes the BP web design staff has come up with, and I'm sure we'll all (well, almost all LOL) learn to live with them. What's unfortunate is that BP really has no way of knowing how the majority of members/gallery owners REALLY feel about having their EP badges displayed so a few vocal members seem to be driving a decision that affects everyone. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a simple poll option that could be activated and available to all members for a given length of time (2 weeks, maybe). BP could use the results to really take the collective membership pulse before putting hours into effecting changes that may or may not be "on track"?

It's not the EP's I have an issue with, it's the new layout! Instead of three images across, only one! There's so much wasted space! What's the point anymore of putting them in any particular order anymore?!

What's the difference between a Deluxe Gallery and a Premium one? Both in price and format? Seems really strange to me that the first page of a gallery looks normal and the rest only had one photo on each row. Surely it's a mess up of some kind. Doesn't BP usually like to announce improvements when someone starts a "what the heck is going on" thread? I don't care what they do but I wouldn't pay for a gallery that is laid out like that. They can't be intending to leave it that way.

Actually, my second page looks pretty cool. The reason one is I have only 6 photos to show, and the reason two is the background color. I usually do not display more than 2 pages of images in my gallery. I feel many of my viewers would have seen enough sample of my shots in the first 60. I don't think they would flip pages and pages to see my photos...

The layout doesn't change on page 2! If you go from another page and then click on page 1, it's the same look as the other pages. I agree with Michelle! I don't want the description to be seen in the gallery. I want the image to be seen! If someone wants to read more than they can click on the image to read.

Could be to show panoramics better. Without the imbalanced look of pushing thumbnails to the side. But it would be funny(at least to me) if this came from requests. Not unlike the many threads that get starter by the vocal few about number of finalist, button color, yada yada yada... If you expect people to listen to every little thing you want changed, can't really expect them to ignore somebody else's. Three days left to Samba.

I also would bet it's a glitch! My thinking is the first page is normal. After that it looks like the free gallery. It's not an attractive layout. On the above link saying :"Get a website" They show the Premium galleries as they were. I don't think the new layout would attract newcomers! I think they may be trying to give us the choice with the display of EP badges. Those Ep's have caused alot of headaches!!!

At first, I thought something was wrong with my computer when I noticed the page layout looked different from the second page on. Then I realized not only EP budges but Photo of the Day budge was gone as well! I really hope this is not the new and permanent look. It does not look neat and organized at all. I have sent a question regarding this case to BP. Let's see what they say.

Glad to find this thread. I sent BP an email Friday evening becuase I thought at first it was just my gallery. Then I started looking around and seen it was like that on every gallery I looked at. I do not like it and I hope it is a glitch that they fix tomorrow! I know some people do not like the EP badges but I do! It gives me a sense of pride to know my photo made it past the first round since I am a beginner and pretty new to BP! So I hope it is not permanent!!! :-)

Thanks Jessica, for starting this thread. I hope all of you who DON'T like the change will write to the staff! I don't know if it's a glitch or a change in design... I only know, I don't like it and that is an understatement! I agree with Jessica: this will not attract newcomers, nor would I invite people on the "outside" to view my gallery in this state! For one thing, is it NOT aesthetic in the least. For another, we earned those EFP's, regardless of our opinions and in light of that, I think we have the right to keep them on display. While the galleries are not expensive, we did PAY for them! Would I have paid, if this is how they looked before???? Huge Resounding NO WAY!! I wrote and already got a letter. No answer, just "Thanks for writing to BP." Huh??? I am not normally a rabble rouser (REALLY!!!) but in this case, I encourage everyone to write and let them know your thoughts on this! If this is a permanent situation, I see two solutions. One - adios to BP. The other is to keep a one-page gallery and hope they don't change THAT! The reason I suspect it's not a glitch is that the finalists and winners still show. It seems they removed the EFP's selectively. And who was it, who didn't want the EFP's displayed? Someone who never got any??? Sorry -- that's the logical conclusion.

I do not like the new look at all and spent many hours arranging my gallery and changing the colors etc. to get it the way I wanted it...Personally I like the new E.P symbols and want them back on my gallery pages...I think they should make it an option whether you want to show your gallery one way or the other, or whether you want the E.P. symbols to be shown...Don't just make drastic changes without warning! I didn't pay to have a gallery that looks like mine does now...

I'm the great fence sitter in this one. I don't mind the new layout. I also feel if you don't like it, send BP an email and ask. If you like it, same thing. I am going to weigh in about EFPs...I have plenty and wish I had the option to turn them off. I have never liked them. Strictly my thinking is they take away from the non-EFP photos, some of which are my personal favorites. I don't want someone new to my gallery discounting them simply because they don't have a shiny button. For those of you who don't like the changes, please take the time to email BP instead of demanding they respond to a forum thread they may not even be aware is out here.

I suspect "glitch" in the new gallery designs, which I'm sure will be addressed when business opens on Monday (Pacific time). Even if this change was contrived, public outcry from the masses will win out and things will be changed back to the way they were in short order. I'm one who objected to EFP badges showing up on my deluxe web site because I thought my galleries looked cluttered and too "busy" with multiple badges on every page. Those who display their photos on Premium Galleries might have been allowed the same option. Look in your control centers to see if they were defaulted to not display the EFP's.

I have lots of EFPs and I don't like them either. But I don't want BP to remove them because I know lots do like the buttons. But I agree that I'd like an option to turn them off. I do think that this is just a glitch and all will be back to normal soon. I'm sure the BP staff is off for the weekend and will address the problem when they get back tomorrow.

I HOPE this is a glitch! There's way too much empty space. The layout is unattractive and inconsistent with the first page. I like my EFP buttons to be displayed. If other members don't want EFPs displayed, that should be optional. In the future, it would be nice if BP would conduct surveys on a regular basis, available to all members, before making any drastic changes. Let's just hope this is a glitch - and it will be fixed soon!

As it turns out, you can either show all EFP's, Finalists, Winners or none of them. If anybody else thinks we should be able to separate the EFP's from the Finalists and Winners, please say so. It looks like you can turn one on and the other off, but you can't...at least not yet. So make your wishes known and that way they will know what we want.

How do you display "none"? As for "make your wishes known", from what I've been reading, folks want the option to turn on/off EPs..independent of the POTDs, Finalists, and Winners. If BP wants full flexibility, they should make each medal configurable for display; e.g., toggle on/off.

I'm not sure about BP's reason's for removing the EP's, contest finalist,and winners. I converted my gallery to the new appearance. I was surprised to see the labels missing. I thought it was a mistake on my patr. Now I see it's mote systemic. So, I figure its BP's error based on a computer gliche. But there may be other reasons. It Does Not in the best interest of BP or its members.

Hi Frank, This is a very old thread :)and one reason that it "died" is because a toggle on/off feature was added some time ageo. In your Member Center, just click on the BP Gallery link at the far left. Then on the next page (Basic Betterpholio Admin Center), look for the Display Emblems/Graphics area (bottom of the page).
