Flash for Mamiya Rz67

What would be a good flash for a RZ67..? Would a Nikon SB800 be any good on the Mamiya?

SB800 has a lot of automated features that can only be used on compatible Nikon cameras. It becomes a very expensive non-TTL auto-thyrister flash on a Mamiya or other maker's camera. You could get the same utility from a $90 Vivitar 285HV.

http://www.mamiya.com/rz67-pro-iid-accessories-flash-accessories-metz-interface-module.html lists compatible Metz speedlights and the corresponding Mamiya dedicated modules and connecting cord.
