Only ONE bag? I seem to collect them. Many bags will serve your purpose but which you will use the most will depend on how you intend to use it. Are you going to be hiking any distance? If so, you will want a backpack with waist straps. The downside is that you have to take the pack off to access the pack. If you are only going to be hiking moderate distances of a few miles you might want to consider one of the single strap backpacks such as Lowepro's Slingshot design. This allows you to slide the pack from back to front to access your stuff. If you do not need a backpack, camera bags generally allow quicker and easier access to your equipment. There are several good companies including Lowepro, Tamrac, Kata and Crumpler. Bill

The slingshot is great but they're expensive widely used among the top wedding photogs. I'd say it is the one you should look at or a backpack style. when you find they're out of your budget try looking on Craigslist or EBay for a used one.

Thanks Will, Oliver I just recieve a 18' hardcase. half for my current gear, and half for text books (insulation removed), a beautiful case,$39.99, not water proof though, I placed it in the shower. I'll have to settle for my on the go, photo man to the rescue, mobile case later. now that I have a upgrade, I can research that preferred case. Thanks again.
