This is kind of like asking what brand of automobile someone likes over another one, Annisa. It's a tough question to answer because we don't know what you plan to use it for, what your present and future photography needs are, whether you might outgrow it sooner rather than later, etc.

The best thing you can do after you do some research on reliability, features, etc., (if you haven't done that already) is go down to a store that sells one or both of these models, try them out, see how they feel, maybe even rent one for a day or two and see how you actually like it for your particular purposes and ergonomics. The get the one you find that fits you and your needs the best.

In the meantime, if you have questions about specific features of those cameras, I'm sure someone here could answer them for ya.
Take it light ;>)
Mark

I have an older Fuji S602 (3.1 mp) that I really love the colors, contrast and sharpness. Since going to Canon 20D & 40D, I can definitely see a difference between the way the sensors translate the jpeg images. Shooting in raw format will give you more control of these variables where as jpegs are processed in the camera itself and you dont have as much flexibility tweaking them as you will working with raw images. I prefer the ergonomics and the layout on the Canon's which was a big reason I decided to go with Canon over Nikon. Even now when I pick up my old Fuji, it takes me a minute to remember how to navigate around in it as it is a lot different than my Canon.

Mark is right, you really should go to the camera store and hold both of them and see how easily you can change functions and how comfortable they feel to you. Put the camera's in manual mode and see how easy it is to change shutter speeds, ISO settings & aperture. How does it look through the viewfinder, fit in your hand & which one fits your way of thinking.

10x vs. 4x zoom? are you kidding!? no contest, go with 10x; unless ifcourse the Fuji only accepts xD which is dead. I bet the Canon costs more too.

I would buy the Lumix FZ-50, it has a folding LCD.
