Manual Focusing I have a Canon Rebel XT camera and when I use manual focusing, should I be holding down the shutter button half way when rotating the focus ring until it beeps? Or should I just rotate the ring until it looks in focus to me? Thanks

Brian, just rotate the focus ring until the image is in focus. You would hold the shutter halfwya when using auto focus. Also, if you are using manual exposure, you wuld depress the shutter halfway to see the exposure in the viewfinder.

Actually, Brian, you can do either. If you hold the shutter button halfway while rotating the focus ring, it will beep and light up the focus point in the viewfinder that is in focus.
