Photography Question

professional digital photo processing service

I've been having problems getting quality prints for my digital photos. I sign and date all of my photos and when I have them processed by a number of online processing services, and preview the prints, I always get my prints back with my signature and date chopped off or partially chopped off. Any suggestions?

That's because the relationship of the length and width of your images is 4:3, while the printers print on 3:2 material. That's like trying to get a round peg into a square hole. So something's got to give. Either you get unprinted edges or chopped off edges. You apparently got the latter.

Some cameras can be set to create images with a 3:2 relationship. So when you get those printed somewhere, you get the WHOLE image printed. No chopped off edges.

Thanks W. I'll see if I can figure out how to set my camera to create images with a 3:2 relationship. Mandy

or you can crop your images down to size before you sign and date. If you plan to print a 4x6, make sure it is a 4x6 Before you sign and date. If you plan to print an 8x10 ... you get the idea.

The aspect ratio for a 4x6 is different from a 5x7 or 8x10. You gotta crop before you send your photos off to the printer!!!
