Who do you use to print off your pictures? I am looking for a good place to order my prints off line. Who do you use? TIA

I am not sure what kind of prints you are looking for. I use a local service called color-tech (color-tech.com, use the Roes services). I do all my fine printing there on a light-process printer (all digital, no ink, to real photographic paper). They follow instructions (I don't want automated corrections, and they follow those instructions). They also have a wide range of possible sizes. If you just want 5x7, 4x6 or test prints, you might find something less expensive -- though I find their pricing generally fairly competetive, and I consider their work worth any difference. Sure beats printing at home.

Hi Richard. Thanks for your response. After reading your answer I realize that perhaps I should have even asked if it would be better to use someone locally. I am considering doing some pictures for someone my mom knows and wanted a place that would not alter my prints. The largest size would be 8x10. I didn't even consider a local business. Perhaps I should try them and see how they do. Thanks again for your help.

Stephanie, Mpix.com does a good job also. The are reliable and have a quick turnaround. You can upload and order this morning and have them by the next day. They too, like Richard said, follow instructions and don't auto correct if that is what you choose when ordering.

Oliver, Is Costco really any good or are you being sarcastic? In another thread, Willie Norton I believe it was, brought them up too. I likened using Costco to print photos to having an attorney do a root canal because Costo sells so many different things. I guess he doesn't know how to take a joke and it offended him and all I got from him was a smart remark.

First...I'm never sarcastic. 2nd Costco is not that bad (and their machine is HUGE so its gotta be good)jk...MPix is way better and more money but Stephanie never stated if the photos were for her own albums or professional shots for sale. I'm quessing that anyone asking where to print is just a beginner/intermediate photographer looking for something to hand to friends & family. Todd I'm far above leaving you a smart remark...but I can't understand why you'd call an attorney for a root canal?

Stephanie, I use mpix also and have not only been very happy with the prints, but with their customer service as well. I have only had one problem with an order and it was resolved in less than ten minutes after I contacted them. Received the corrected order the next day.

Thanks everyone. I will definitely try mpix. I live in a rural area and the nearest Costco is a hour and a half away, so I'll probably skip that one. Thanks anyways!

Mpix is great. They have metallic paper that makes b&w images look super. They will die-cut wallets also. Gotta try them!
