Memory Cards I have a Kodak Easy Share digital camera which is just over 2 years old. Recently, when I take a photograph there is sometimes a pink haze that covers the photo when I look in the view window. Also, sometimes there are pink refractile images on in photos, as well. My question: Is the memory card, a 512 MB now too old? Or do I need a new camera? I live in Italy now and have taken 1000s of photographs with that same card, but this is the first time I've had a problem. Thanks!

Liz, I remember reading an article about this not too long ago, one of the things it stated was about pink showing up on photos because of the heat generated from the battery, making the memory card get hot and causing the problem with pink lines or haze. it may help to turn off the camera and let it cool or to keep a backup camera and switch off occasionaly.

Liz, I've never heard of a memory card causing a problem like this. They usually work or they don't. I would imagine one of your settings has gotten changed, possibly white balance if you camera has selectable white balance. I would check my settings first to see if that is the problem.

I think a new 512 card is $10...

No sense in trashing a perfectly good card.
