Is it better to take sceenery photos with 35mm film or slides to make the best 18 X 20 enlargements that won't be grainy? Would you recommend a certain speed of film?

it would honestly be best to use slides because certain films have tightly packed grain for just the case. fuji velvia II (ISO 50) is one of the more popular films for landscapes because of it's grain structure and it's saturation. give it a try, you'll love it. it's very contrasty and easy to blow the highlights so be sure to bracket.
