Photography Question

Matt Gerhart

What camera should i get

My name is Matt G. Im 15 years old, so im still a student photographer. My problem is, whenever I buy a new camera,a year later I need a new one probally becuase im still learning all the features.

Im in 10th grade now, and I want a camera that can last me at least into college or longer. I want a dslr camera that has a good shutter, continous shooting burst, good quality. I enjoy taking pictures of nature, travel, photo journalism, macro, somtimes people, and pets. So pretty much every type.

I been looking at the nikon D-80, or one of the Cannon Rebels.

If you have any reviews for those or another suggetions I would greatly appreactiate it.

Hey Matt, I don't know the Nikons at all but the Rebels are fine. You don't need to upgrade everytime a new model comes out. I'm sure a Rebel or the similar versions of Nikons would last quite a few years.

  Matt,
Check out www.kenrockwell.com. His site has numerous reviews along with his personal opinion. I would imagine that almost any of the DSLR cameras on the market will last you for years. One important thing that I found out is to make sure that it feels good in your hand. They all fell just a little bit different. Go to a store and try a few out. Hope this helps.
Anna
