Photography Question

Debbie Crowe

Which class to take?

I am pretty good with my digital camera, just took a class at a local campus, learning a lot on here as well. I am not a beginner but certainly not a professional and have much to learn.
I just purchased Photoshop Elements 6 and wondered if there was a beginner class for this. I saw this in another post as a recommendation. I am completely new to Photoshop.

Photoshop 101: The Photoshop Essentials Primer

Questions on taking a class online:

if this is a 4 week class, how is this strutured to learn and do assignments? Like many, I would be limited to certain times etc as to when I could get on the computer to do this class. How does this actually work and if the details to this are posted, I will go there if you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks, Deb

Deb, if you click on "courses" at the top of the page, there is a lot of info on how they work and FAQ's and I think you can do a virtual class tour, also.

  Hi Deb,
Thanks for your interest in BetterPhoto's online classes! Carolyn provided some excellent tips - thanks Carolyn!!

With BP courses, you needn't be online at any specific time - i.e., classes are totally adaptable to your schedule! As suggested, here's a quick tour on how the classes work.

And we have a perfect beginning Elements course for you: Adobe Photoshop Elements, which is taught by popular author-instructor Robin Nichols and which gets under way on Oct. 31.

Photoshop 101: The Photoshop Essentials Primer is an excellent course, too, and although geared mostly to the full Photoshop, it covers Elements as well (instructor Richard Lynch has written books on both!). Photoshop 101 begins Nov. 7th.

By the way, you might want to check out the testimonials from students who have taken our classes (plus, check for the link to reviews of specific courses):

Thanks again, Deb, and let me know if you have any further questions!
Kerry

P.S.: If you have any questions that are really specific to a particular course, feel free to contact that instructor (click on instructor's name and then click on the "contact" link).

  Debbie,
I have not yet updated the course for Elements 6, but there are minimal differences between that and Elements 5 for the purposes of the course. Any questions you have about the differences I'll be able to answer (I have Elements 6 installed).

I can certainly answer any questions you have about the course, and you may want to check out the Course Reviews!
