Hi Danielle – first, let me just throw something out to you – you do not have to “catch” it, but… you are new to BP, correct? Perhaps you want to consider introducing yourself and asking for critiques in a somewhat less demanding fashion. Somehow, your choice of words reads, to me, as a demand rather than a “hi, I’m new and would love some feedback…” approach. But, that is just me and perhaps others do not find the same tone. Now, to your images and remember you asked for honesty! I suspect that with the images that are extremely off center that you are trying something you may think is artistic or at least different. The problem with that approach is that you really need a firm grasp on the fundamentals of creating ‘normal’ images. From what you display in your gallery it does not appear as if you have this grasp yet. Sharpness is of primary importance and most of your images are far from sharp. Intentional blur can be artistic and quite effective; however, it must appear as intentional and your images appear to be blurry through accident. Those images where the perpendicular is way off could be intentional; however, the other images simply appear crooked without intent. Proper exposure appears to be a real problem. You might want to either take a class here at BP on exposure or visit your local library and take out a book on exposure. The best one that I have read is Bryan Peterson’s Exposure. Good images tell a story or provide the viewer with an insight, whether the image is of a person, an animal, landscape, building, etc. When you are trying to photograph a subject think about what you are saying to the potential viewer and then choose both your subject and your approach based on that message. The last thing you want to do is to have your viewer say “huh?” or “yeah, so what?” Other than the two images of the cute dog (both quite blurry) I am not sure what message is being conveyed. Anyway, do not get discourage. Keep shooting and go do some reading or consider a class, either here or locally. Everyone, no matter at what level of proficiency, started at the beginning, not making great images, but making lots of mistakes. Good luck and do keep coming back. Irene

How many times are you going to ask the same question? Weren't you advised not to shoot out of a car window? Now you're apologizing. I believe Sharpness was also mentioned in your last "Critique"
