Photography Question

Prices for calendar photos

Through a friend I was asked to submit photos for a 2008 calendar. The company prints about 3,000 copies of this calendar for clients and customers. They are selecting several photos of mine and are asking for a price list. Since this would be the first time I have sold any photos, what kind of price should I give them, is it based on the calendar run of 3,000 copies, or if they plan on using my images for other projects as well?

I would charge them at least a few hundred a photo. Most all the photographers that make calendars get a piece of the action. I would give them a discount if you can put your contact info on the calendar and name on each photo you did. This will get you future business.

Thank you so much Oliver! I greatly appreciate it. Since I am very green at this, every little piece of information helps.
