Image Stabilization

I hope it is not a silly question, pls excuse me if it appears to be one.

What happens if I put an "Image Stabilization" lens to a camera with sensor "Image Stabilization"? Will it turn out to be a redundancy or it actually improve even more?

thanks.

  Might work, might not.
Which manufacturer makes lenses and bodies with stabilization? I know of only those that make one or the other.

No. Current in-lens and in-camera stabilization functions work independently to correct the same amount of shake. If combined, they would make matters worse. There are no Canon or Nikon bodies with in-camera stabilization, and no IS/VR/OS lenses made for in-body Pentax or Sony cameras. The only combination of in-lens IS with in-body IS is the Four-Thirds combination of Leica 14-50 OIS and Olympus E-510. If you combine these you have to turn off one of the IS systems. They will not work together. See http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/OlympusE510/Olympus_E510_with_Leica_14-50mm.shtml
