CS3 CS3 for $299.00 is it worth it? I just upgraded from pse 5.0, I know I won't use all the features, and will learn to use many, mainly camara raw, I couldn't pass it up because of the price, any opinions? and please be brutally honest. Thank you

I've been able to poke around CS3 a little bit, and from what I have seen, it is a very nice upgrade from CS2 (don't know much about Elements). It loads faster, doesn't bog down when processing as much, and has some great RAW features. So far, the little bit I have been exposed to it, I think it is a very nice program. Is it worth $300...? That is the $300 question.

Whether or not its worth depends on how much you will use it and more so, if you will use most or all the features CS3 has that the previous versions doesn't. I had CS2 and upgraded to CS3 and more than anything to me, I like the faster loads and process times. I don't think it is worth 300 dollars just for that so I find myself timkering with it so I can tell my wife, "Look what I did in CS3 that I couldn't have done in CS2 or elements!" to justify the cost.

Thanks for the responses, I'm new to captureing images, so quite often my images need a little help. in my case "Photoshop" a tank to shot a masquito. I'm thinking about cancelling the purchase, and buying a SB-800 strobe for my Nikon D80. again thanks
