using items in photos

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to incorporate fireman boots into a photo with a 2 month old baby? I couldn't get these to work because they were too big and the baby was only able to lie on her back/stomach or propped up in a basket. Just curious on how you may have set this up. Thanks.

  The picture is so cute! Is the baby small enough to lay somewhat in the boot and have her top half comming out, as if she was sneaking out to say, "hello!" ? I would try that and stand the other boot up as if she were playing with the boots. May not work, but its fun to try things at all angles.

  thanks for idea Lindsay. The next time I take some photos of her, I'll do that. I asked my friend to bring his fire helmet next time as well for another prop. have a good day.

  I agree it does not look right. The fluffy towels with the boots just doesn't belong together. Since you have the boots, try incorporating the fireman's turnout coat as a replacement to the towels. The inside of the coats usually has soft woven quilt like feel which should be soft enough to lay the baby in and then play with the coat, sleeves, etc. to work with the boots. Toss the helmet in a little to the back for effect but not to distract from the baby. Just a thought!
