Photography Question

Understanding this Forum

This is a strange question as it has to do with WHERE to put your questions that don't fall under the preset categories, such as "All About Photography", or "Buying Gear". If you have a question regarding navigating around this site or just basic photography questions, I never know where to post? I previously had a question about "editor's pick". I had no idea WHERE to post the question. When I did a search for "editor's pick" I could see many previous thread about it, but where are they, under what category? Just to post THIS question....I had to choose "digital photography" from the CATEGORY dropdown as there were no pre-selections that were more appropriate...I guess I just don't see where the logic is in the way this forum is set up?

Logic ? Were photographers not Starship commanders ;o)
Digital Photographic Discussion is where I post/read mostly (90% of the time) as this is where you can ask technical and most other questions. I also read through other people's questions to gain more knowledge as well. I do occasionally use the Equipment forum for questions about printers and stuff and then will sometimes browse the Friendly Praise/Critique photos section. We had a huge discussion about Editors pick on this forum, so you are in the right place. It is all pretty casual here, so dont hesitate to ask anything as there are so many levels of experience and we are all just trying to help each other become better at what we all love.
