How to make Templates

Hi All, I'dreally like to learn how to make my own templates for sports and matric dance photo's. I'm in South Africa, so suggesting US websites/designs doesn't work, I need local flavour, and know what I'd like to do, which I won't find on the net. How does one go about starting - i.e. a red, or yellow border, with words at the bottom...., which can then be dragged onto, or the photo dragged onto the template. Where do I create the template and where do I save it - I'm using PSE 4.
Thanks
Robyn

  Robyn,
There should be some help with this on the Studio Photography Threads.
Liza Franco does beautiful work in this area, so a email to her will most likly help.

heres a short version:
*start with a size say 8x10:
go to file/new and size the palete.
* then make another.
* on this one put your color using your paint bucket and picker. say red.
* then slide it on top of your other 8x10 (white)
* in the top left cornor of ps there should be a dashed ovel or square, use that to determine how large you want your opening for thepicture to show through.
* after using this tool to mark your opening, then use cut or delete to cut the opening out/ the white should show through.
* open your picture and slide it between the two/using levels and bring forward or back.
I hope this helps a bit.
she helped others learn this on the Studio Threads, and everyone got quite creative.
Wishing you the best,
Debby
