Favorite Photos When I select a photo as my favorite, does the photographer get a message that I did? Would be nice; otherwise I can let them know in a note.

Yes they get a message. In your member center on the left side, you will see a message center. If someone chose you as a favorite it will tell you who did it and link you to their album.

Hi, Lisa ... don't know if anybody's even still reading this thread, lol, but I was just wading through Q&A's and found it. What I was wondering about is favorite photos, not favorite photographers. Like if I pick Jane's photo of a dog as one of my favorite photos, does she get a message that I did? As far as I can tell, she wouldn't, and in fact wouldn't know her photo was even chosen as a fave by anybody unless she looked at it under the contest entry submissions, or the big list of favorite photos.

It seems there is no way to know. The only way I found out some of my photos were picked as favorites is by going through the Favorites pages. But there are too many pages to go through them all. I really wish we would be able to see the favorites at the top of the photos in our gallery too. I don't understand why it doesn't show up there. People only get messages if they are selected as a favorite photographer, but not if their individual photos are picked.

I bet they'll add this eventually--maybe we should send a suggestion directly. It doesn't seem like a major programming task (but then I don't know much about programming!)

Someone chose one of mine as a fav photo and I got a message. Another one of my photos was chosen as a fav and I didn't get a message for that one. Maybe they're still working on it.

A funny thing you can try that I did a while ago, is try adding one of your own photos to your favorites, and then see if you get a message
