  Great question :)

I had an EFP that went through.. I'd be curious to find out if it worked in reverse, too! Anybody NOT have an EFP and get a finalist/win?

Philip.....yes,actually one I had forgotten about which was not an EFP and one which was both made the finals,so I really don't think the EFP means anything one way or the other as far as which are selected as finalists.Although I think the EFP's are nice to have :)

  Ron thanks :)

Yes I also think so. I was very exited over to see some of my photos had EFP. I startet with a Nikon D70 back in 2005, but didn't used much time on it in the start. Then I had almost 1½ years break from photografing, but now I'm ready for real :-D

Will start a course 1th of august to improve my skills (I hope)

A photo will not advance to the final round if it was not an EFP. The EFPs are the photos that make the first cut in the judging process. If you have had one make finalist that did not have an EFP button, it's due to a software glitch that BP is taking care of.

If that's true, Dennis, then why are there photos in people's galleries that are years old showing up with EFP tags on them? I smell a computer generated rat.

Possibly because all the photos in BP's system that were previously tagged as having gone through the first round of judging are now showing EP badges.

So if you haven't deleted photos from your gallery going back a few years, many of them could now have EP badges.

I don't think it matters one way or the other if it's tagged with a symbol or not.
If "I" like it,that's what really matters.......

My 'one and only' finalist was not a EFP - but it was from last year....

but I also two EFP from something like 3 years ago in my gallery....

?????Not sure I am understanding what it all means actually.
