Photography Question

Hacked by Pokemon on my pages

Hi All, not so much a post as a plea for help. Any webpage I open (Facebook, BP, my bank....) all comes up with the page name, and then.... Hacked by pokemon. Does this mean something malicious is being done to my computer. Or someones left a message as a warning? I tried to Google it, and came up with a site giving instructions on how to remove it, but I'm scared to in case it does further damage. Don't know if anyone elses got this appearing on their webpages, or can help.
Thanks

Plus virus protection to scan and remove a virus.
Isn't this the about the 4th time you've had something go wrong? Or was that somebody else who had the office in a barn and couldn't get stuff on their computer to work.

robyn.. Hi... Long time no see .. or is that read? lol anyway, go to the "Hijack this" website and read through the forums... they have helped me out a couple times when my browser was hijacked.. its a small tiny program that scans your computer, then when its complete you save the scan info as a word file and post it in the forums, then they will get back and tell you exactly what you need to remove.. which files... good luck. but only use this as a last resort..try downloading the yahoo toolbar with anti spam and virus protection...it works rather well!

Robyn, please be careful about anything reading hacked, please contact your server before you do anything I had a spyware thing show up in my "tray" how the heck it got there is beyond me but we ended up haveing to remove EVERYTHING in our computer all the way back to factory, berfore any programs were ever installed, and start compleatly over, we lost everything! some of your files you can back up before you start having to remove stuff. please contact your server and let them search your computer first. it'll have to be the person who is the administrator of your computer. Brenda

I'm in Johannesburg, South Africa! I might wait till he gets back, as I know its expensive - not quite as expensive as USD300 though! Its 09h53 here, and I'm for breakfast with a friend :) Enjoy playing on BP - it does tend to keep me up too late as well!

  Robyn,

There are some good, FREE programs you can use (Ad-Aware SE personal, Spybot - Search and Destry, and SUPERAntiSpyware) that you can download and run to see if they will find and fix the problem. I'm running Windows XP and use all three of them. The reason I use all three is because each one will find different things. They are fairly straight forward and easy to use.

More than likely your kids have downloaded something to your puter and this is the result. Thank God my kids don't live at home any more!
