Photography Question

Stacy Needs Advice!!!!

Hi guy's, need a tip. I am shooting a wedding Saturday and need tips on something. The ceremony, reception, everything is at night, like pitch black, no light AT ALL! I have a sunpak off camera flash unit with lots of power. The question is...How do I get enouph light to freeze movement yet not have the flat flash look? Is there a way to light everything up with the flash so they don't look like they are in a black hole? AND...they are getting married in the woods surrounded by trees and black forest, nothing to bounce the flash off of. Mercy on me!

All I can suggest is to have an assistant with a white/translucent LiteDisc stand next to you (on your left), holding the disc at 45 deg angle between you and the subject, swivel your flash head to point to the LiteDisc and shoot at flash exposure comp possibly +1/2 to +1. This will give you your white surface to bounce off, move the light/flash source away from the camera and increase the size of the light/flash source. I do this often as it gives great results, practice and motitor results.

This will show you some techniques to balance out the dark background exposure to your subject (dragging the shutter)
