Buying a good lens? So, I have the Canon 350d 'rebel' with the 18-55mm kit lens. I love taking portrait-type pics of kids, babies, teens. Mostly outdoors. I also love to shoot the occasional waterfall. I would like to get a new lens but I am so overwhelmed by all of the options. Anyone know what lens would be best for me without breaking the bank? Thanks!!!!!

Hey Kim, I do a LOT of portrait work, and have tried most every lens possible for my camera. I would go to the local camera store and try the Canon 50mm 1.4 prime lens or a really great lens that is a bit pricier is the 17-40L.
