Photography Question

Jeffery P. Bennett

What is the best SLR camera?

I am wanting to buy my first SLR camera and can't decide what would be the best one. I am really wanting to purchase the new Sony Alpha DSLR-100H Digital Camera. But, was on the beach yesterday and seen a woman that was shooting with a Nikon D40X and was surprised out how easy it was to use and the quility of the pics. I have also heard that the new Canon Rebels are remarkable as well. The thing is, everytime I go into a store to look at and or purchase the Sony Alpha, they are always out of them and I am told by those that work there that they can never keep them in stock. I have always used Sony and have always been extremely happy with them. I know I may sound like I am already sold on the Sony Alpha, but I really wanted some input on this matter. When I went through alot of your photos on here, I noticed that almost everyone here uses Nikons and some of you use Canons. I just am having a hard time decideing on what would be the best camera for me. To give you more of a general idea of what I shoot in order to know which would be the best camera for me I will give you some examples. Wildlife, nature, flowers, scenic (such as sunsets), a lot of my wife, daughters & friends. So, I am hoping that someone here may be able to help me weigh the pros and cons of these cameras and there fore make my final judgement on which camera will suite me best. Thank you for those of you who have taken the time to read this and whatever input you have, I would be very greatful for. I am not Pro but am a bit more then a novice as far as the shots I take and need to move up to a better camera. Thank you all and love all your wonderful and breath taking photos.

Sincere Thanks,
Jeffery P. Bennett

The Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro Digital SLR Camera is a good value digital SLR camera with an impressive feature set. It is reputed to take excellent quality pictures and has a very good skin-toned reproduction which makes it ideal for
portraits and high-contrast compositions. It utilizes a SuperCCD SR Pro imaging chip that claims to offer
improvements in noise, dynamic range, colour, and tonality over its predecessor, the S3 Pro. To get a more detailed understanding about the product, I suggest that you visit this site(http://www.smartratings.com/review/photography/digital_cameras/1028) where a compilation of expert reviews about the camera are aggregated. Hope this helps.

  what would sweet/suite you best?
previous camera/lenses would make a difference.
the ease of use of a camera is a result of the owner/operator?
did you shoot the camera with their settings?auto?
some are like a best friend,ya gotta know how they work.

First determine how much you want to spend on the camera. Then go to a knowlegable camera store and ask to see the Canon ,Nikon and Sony models in that price range. Have them review the operation of each and handle them. You may find that the camera body size may be a deciding factor, some aree larger than others, as an example, I have a Canon Digital Rebel and find the Rebel XT and XTi body to be too small for me. Others like the size. Canon and Nikon put their Image Stabilzation technology into the lens, and those lenses are more costly then the version of the lens without it. Sony puts the technology into the body but there has been mixed reviews about how well it works and resulting image quality.
Having a DSLR can get expensive. As you become more advance, you will become more critical of your own shots, which will lead you to upgrading your lenses.

It took me almost a year to narrow my dSLR choices down to the Pentax K100D. Besides the basics, I based my final decision on the feel of the camera and controls, the availability of lenses in my town and the cost.
www.myproductadvisor.com was of great help to me, you might want to try it out.
