You can do a search "buy a backdrop" and get some help. I use muslim and paint it the colors I want. I put it along a soild color wall. Not in front of a window. Hopes this help you.

The problem with muslin is that good backdrops are expensive, not so costly ones are usually too small. That's why lots of people, including fashion photographers, use seamless paper. It's available in many colors on rolls of at least two different widths. There are gadgets that allow you to hang three or more rolls from the ceiling, thereby giving color flexibility during the same shoot.

I went to the local cloth shop, fabric world type of place and bought my white muslin for my backdrop. Granted it wasn't hemmed, but I got lots and lots of material cheap.
