Pocket Wizard vs Nikon CLS at weddings

Hi all,

I'm looking for some help on lighting dark reception halls for weddings. What are others doing for additional lighting? Are you using strobes, Nikon CLS system (SB800/600s), pocket wizards? Any advice would be appreciated.

  Kristie,
I think is a matter of funds and preferance.
I really love the Nikon CLS, but I also have other slaved flashes as well.
It is cheaper to get used Vivitar flashes and slave them using Pocket wizards or Lite Links(my favorite)
It really makes no matter as long as the job gets done well.
When I do weddings I always offer to bring a strobe kit, and set up a small "studio "area, and we offer family members to have thier family Protraits done, this always adds a lot of fun !
I hope this helps,
Debby

I thought for others reading this post, I should add:
You can use as many as slaved flashes you like, just set the one on camera to transmit and all the others to recieve.
here is a link to Lite Links:

I get all used flashes from Ebay.
I do hope this helps,
