Editor's Pick I'm new to BP and was told by another member that one of my images that I entered into a contest (Digital Darkroom) was listed as "Editor's Pick". By the time I check for it, it was gone. Can this image be backtracked at any time so I can enjoy the moment ??? If not, it would be nice if members are notified somehow, just so they will know. Thank you.

I just had the same problem. Where do I find the Editpr's pick? I went in the search field and found 3 images but couldn't find mime. I agree with Eleanor about the notification. Thanks, Susanne

You'll have to just keep hitting the Reload button at the upper right of that screen. (The Search window there will not search through Editor's Picks.) There is no notification sent, because the Editors Picks change daily, and therefore encompass several hundreds of photos over the course of a month; it isn't actually a "prize" such as a winning entry in the contest, nor is it connected to the contest judging. It is simply another way to view some of the recent images posted to BP every day. If you've entered the contest with any of the images, you will get a notification from BP, should you win Finalist, 2nd, 1st or Grand.

Susanne, Thank you for your response to my question. After several attempts at trying to find the Editor's Picks, I discovered that you click on PHOTOS and click (on the drop-down menu) "Editor's Picks", then keep clicking on the RELOAD button on right side. You just have to keep on scanning thru until you find what you are looking for. If you are lucky you will see an image that you entered. There is NO notification, just a random pick to show some of the images entered. Good Luck in your search.

Christopher, Thank you for answering my question. As you can see by my answer to Susanne, after doing some research on my own I did manage to find two of my entered images. I have to admit even though the "Editor's First Pick's" do not suggest a winner, seeing my photos did make me feel pretty good. I do know it's all about having fun and connecting with people who like to take pictures. Thanks BP for giving us all the opportunity to share with friends.

I still wish they would notify, place a star next to the picture or some how let you know when your picture is an editor’s pick. I think it’s inspiring and motivating to know, Kind of your on the right track or took a nice picture type thing.

I agree Jim. I have found that you don't necessarily find your picture unless you are signed in. If I look under Editor's Picks without entering my email and password, I don't find my picks. If I sign in (same session), I usually always see one of mine. It's kind of a let down.

Hi Guys, I just looked at the POTD page, and you can subscribe to the newsletter that they mail daily, that gives the POTD. You might try that and see if it works. Pat

Hi Pat! I receive the POTD newsletter daily but it has nothing to do with the Editor's Pick. Susanne

If you have a BP web site, you can see the editor's pick at that location.

If your image is in the Editor's First Picks... Then you should have a EFP badge under your image in your gallery... That's kinda how you are notified about it... It shows up...:)
