Photography Question

Extension tubes

I’d like to try some macro photography.
I have a D70s with a Nikon 18-70 G (no aperture ring) lens and a 75-300 (with aperture ring)lens.
It’s better to buy a set of extension tubes with electronic connection so I can use it with my 18-70 or buy a cheap set of ext. tubes and a manual lens (maybe 90mm or 105mm)?
Thanks

I have Kenko extension tubes and they will not work with the 18-70mm lens. I have access to Nikon's 60mm micro lens occasionally and I really like that lens. I would buy it before the new VR micro lens they have out now.

  Thanks Sharon,
I bet that the Nikon 60mm micro lens is better than the tubes....but right now I don't want to invest in something that I'm not sure I'm going to do frequently.
I'm trying to decide between tubes with electronic connection (they work with the 18-70mm) or buy cheap tubes and a manual fixed focal lens to work with the tubes.
Thanks again.

Gio

Gio, you might also look in to the Canon 500D. It's a filter type thing but I've read in forums on several occasions that it works well.
