What computer package do you use/recommend I have had photoshop for a while but a friend told me abut picasa2 which I have downloaded it seems alot better than photoshop but would be interested in you thoughts also sny hint and tips you could give me on hte best way to use picasa thanks Aileen

I take it you dont agree, I like it because I found it easy to group photos into own folder, it had an effects box that made it easy to turn photos black and white and sepia, also it help me make a gift cd which is all the things idont know how to do on photoshop. I like photoshop also and would prefer to use this for most of my photos. All tips on how to get the most out of photoshop would be appreciated. Aileen

Aileen, an unskilled operator can work with Picasa2, not with Photoshop. It is the skill level of the operator that determines what he/she can do with an application. Picasa2 is especially meant for people with no or low skill levels in post production (96% of people imo). Picasa2 is therefore limited in its possibilities. Photoshop is the opposite: meant for operators with intermediate and high skill levels in post production*. Well trained and experienced operators can do 'wonders' with Photoshop. Unskilled operators cannot. That is why you can work better with Picasa2 than with Photoshop. Photoshop is simply too complicated for your skill level. Have fun!

i couldnt agree more I have very limited skills when it comes to using the pc, where as my husband prefers to use photoshop but he has great pc skills. i think I need to take a course in photoshop. Aileen
