This dog was up for adoption at The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. Shortly after I made the photo, he found a new home.

I know I say this every month, but it really rings true this time: How can it be the 15th already?

Yup, it's time once again for us to pour a favorite libation and savor that chocolaty goodness, because the March 2007 edition of the Cocktails & Chocolate countdown thread is officially on the air!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the monthly thread that gives us all an opportunity to show off, brag, revel, and hope! It's time to share either that one photo you really, really think is going to garner a medal or that one you really, really WISH would bring home the silver or gold.

My entry this month is "Waiting for Adoption." And before anyone asks, I'll say right from the outset that within about 45 minutes of making this photo, the dog was adopted.

It's always so wonderful to see everyone's photos, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all have been up to.

So without further ado, let the fun begin....
