Cropping Problem I need Photoshop expertise for this one... I'm trying to crop an image that I shot, but Photoshop won't let me. After I create the bounding box, I normally just hit 'enter' and it crops. This time, I hit 'enter' and a message comes up saying, "Could not complete your request because the scratch disks are full." What does that mean? I've never had that before.

Is it a psd file with a bunch of layers? A scratch disk is some mysterious place that I don't know the exact location, but you need to devote some of the computers memory to it to deal with the large number of megabytes that some files can have. Like multi layered pictures or lots of photoshop actions. So if it's a picture with lots of layers, you need to flatten them(and do it one layer at a time so you don't get a fatal error) and then try to crop.

Another thing to is to make sure you are using pixels and not inches if you are setting the crop width and height. I know it sounds silly, but I've done this myself and heard of others making the same booboo. 1024x768 inches is not good, lol.

Well, I don't know how it happened, but the settings WERE set to 3008 X 2000 in INCHES!!! You're both right, thanks again! I changed it back to pixels. Now the file's not so huge.
