Photography Question

Fawn M. Schutt

Lights Lights Lights!

Well, I have a bit of a problem. I have all the studio equipment I need, except one thing; LIGHTS! I can't afford many of the sets out there and was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could get some cheap. I don't need a huge fancy set, just an in-hoe studio set. I know how to do great indoor shots but I just need a proper source for lighting. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

  Fawn,
I have recomended these to folks on the "Studio Photography Thread"

Lights:

I had a set for On Site Jobs and found them to be sturdy and dependable.
A good starting place, there are things such as Lite links
( transcivers radio controllers ) that can make them better.

Here is the Studio Thread Start with one and read a few, you will see others start thier studios here:

I hope this helps, if you want to spend more, there are some Wonderful Photogenics that start close to $1000.00

  Fawn,
then I would decide what kind of lights you would like to use, then start with 1 or 2 and build from there.
you can start with one light, stand and umbrella, then add a back light, then your fill light later.
for your 3 light system.
you can find used on ebay as well, but do look for a quality name.
if you don't mind sharring your budjet, I will help,
Debby
