Create a Business Logo

Looking for info on how to create a Logo for a Photo business web page. I would like to creat my own, although I am not sure how to go about doing that and getting it on my web page. Can I create one on my computer then download it to my web page?
What program should I use to create a Business Logo. Thanks

No, you can create one on your computer and upload it to your webpage.

One of these:

Have fun!

Hang on. Raster graphics editors edit pictures, so unless your logo is just one of your photographs, the raster graphics editor you use will need to have graphic creation ability, like Photoshop. However, you should check out

Vector graphics editors are all about drawing graphics. They can "vectorize" photographs, too, and I think you may even be able to include photos and export them to png. I personally prefer the free Inkscape. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Created_with_Inkscape for some Wikipedia graphics and logos made with it. (There are more in the Commons, too.)

As far as putting it on a website, first you have to upload the file to your web server or an image hosting site, like imageshack.us. Then you have to use the proper html code to insert the photo.

That's it!

You can use Adobe Illustrator if you have the means. I made mine in Photoshop.

To make a very graphical website, you should actually try to use some image creation / editing software like photoshop or whatever and make a real size template for the site. From there, slice it up and throw it into a large table via html code. From there you will have an HTML representation of that big image that you create.

Why not use your best image? That way even a business card shows your work.
