they probably get BetterPhoto pictures by browsing through new submissions and pholios ... then they pic their targets and hit 'em up.

I doubt they have them from simple downloads. They probably came from being sent to one of the different named sites under the same umbrella.

picture.com aka babyphoto.com aka.......the list goes on and on....that's how the ISOP gets your photo...eventually. Search the postings here for a list of people a mile long who have been ripped off. Careful where you submit your photos!

sorry sam been at work all day have not been on til just now to check it out. you are right I did not read the fine print, I had just thought that since the link that I took to the website for the contest was on betterphoto.com maybe they were affiliated. sorry did not mean to offend you with my ignorance.

slicks right sean,no offense at all. by the way,i will not relinquish my ignorance title. I originally thought they had stolen one or more of your photographs without your permission or you had seen someone elses photo on their website. there are a lot of members here who worry about having their photos stolen. a while back some were found on another site and someone else was passing them off as theirs. careful where you submit.many contests,even though they pay out a few thousand bucks,end up with the rights to all photos submitted and will make many times that from those rights. vanity can be a downfall, don't send them any money at all. ah poetry,sam
